Afternoon Glaze Specials
Friday 26th August

1pm to 4pm

We spend a lot of time building our pots but often rush things when it comes to the glazing stage. The Friday glaze sessions are ideal for course participants who would like to learn more about glazing and how to approach each piece both looking at colour and texture. If you are on one of the weekly classes or have just completed a throwing course this is a great class to focus on just glazing. Especially good if you have a lot of bisque pieces. Limited to six per class.

Cost £50 per session

Large scale ceramics course
1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th August

10am to 4pm

Would you like to build a giant piece of ceramic art for your house or garden? The large scale ceramics class is very popular and I have held one over the past three summers. Over the years there have been giant lanterns, bird baths, sculpted planters and even a gorilla made here. You will have to plan a bit in advance to get the best from this experience. I also have good books here to inspire you if you cannot think of what you would most like to make. You will use a technique suitable to best achieve the outcome so it could be slab built, coiled or mould formed or thrown or a mix of methods. There will be different types of clay available and you can choose what is best suited for your ideas. Limited to six per class.

Cost £450
